Context

Teams going remote and hybrid needed to know where work time went without turning managers into timekeepers. Timesheets were filled in from memory, billing leaked hours, attendance and leave lived in separate tools, and productivity was a guess.

Constraints

Tracking had to be automatic yet transparent and configurable per team; the product had to run natively on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS; a free plan with unlimited users and projects had to be sustainable; and billing data had to be accurate enough to invoice from.

What we built

Automated time tracking with workforce intelligence; project and task time; productivity and performance analytics; attendance, leave, and shift management with geo-tracking; automated invoicing and project billing; employee wellness monitoring; app and URL tracking; a Kanban view; and clock in and out, with integrations to Jira, ClickUp, and Amazon S3.

Architecture

Desktop clients for three operating systems and mobile apps for two, feeding a cloud back end; an analytics layer over activity and project data; billing and invoicing services; integration connectors for Jira, ClickUp, and S3.

Delivery

Continuous product delivery: quarterly roadmap scoping, weekly releases demonstrated to customer-facing teams, automated test suites gating each build, and telemetry-driven verification of performance across platforms.

Outcomes

The product is used by more than 15,000 teams, from freelancers and remote squads to call centres, insurance teams, and enterprises, with a free entry plan converting to paid tiers as analytics and billing are adopted.

Carried forward

Freemium works when the free tier is genuinely useful and the paid value is obvious. That discipline, earn the upgrade, shapes how we scope every SaaS product now.
